The Museum is located at 104 Montgomery Street in the Presidio of San Francisco (NOT the Financial District). Be aware that there are two Montgomery Streets in San Francisco. Remember to enter the zip code 94129 when planning your route.
There are many ways to get to the museum. Below is a list of recommendations:
Parking: The largest and closest lot is located on the Main Post across from the museum, between Lincoln Ave and Sheridan Ave. Paid parking is enforced from 8am–6pm
Bus: Presidio GO Shuttle- Free shuttle system operating around the Presidio, Muni Bus Lines (SFMTA)- San Francisco’s network of buses, light rails, cable cars, and streetcars
Golden Gate Transit: Public transit system supporting the North Bay region
Bicycle: Bike parking is located on the south side of the building to the left of the main entrance
Kids under 6 get in for free
On 24 and 31 December the museum closes at 16:00 (last admission at 14:45)
