Overview
Start a self-guided bike tour from Fisherman’s Wharf to Sausalito, crossing the Golden Gate Bridge with views of San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz Island, and the Marin Headlands.
The ride begins at Fisherman’s Wharf on a mostly flat path, suitable for all skill levels.
Pedal through the Marina District and Aquatic Park Cove, stopping at the Palace of Fine Arts. Continue to Crissy Field and then to the Golden Gate Bridge.
After crossing the bridge, arrive in Sausalito, a town with art galleries, shops, and cafes. Enjoy free time to explore, visit local spots, shop, or relax in a cafe.
When heading back to San Francisco, you can ride your bike all the way back. Or you can take the ferry (fare not included), or in high season, there is a Sausalito bike drop service for a fee if you want to leave your bike there.

Instructions
- You'll receive a confirmation email that contains an electronic waiver. Please complete it before you arrive
- Show your smartphone ticket at the Bay City Bike Shop to pick up your bike. Your bikes will be ready for you at the curbside, the staff will give you all the necessary information from a safe distance
- Notes:
- Bring a photo ID
- Bring a credit card, a deposit is required. The amount will vary depending on your choice of bike and the number of people in your party
- Bike rental is for up to one full day. If you return your bike late, you will be charged hourly until the 4-hour mark has been met, and after that for another full day

Bikes are rented for the entire day, but must be returned before 19:00
California helmet law mandates that anyone under 18 must wear a helmet. Electric bikes may only be ridden by 16+
For infants, the venue offers tag-alongs, booster seats, and trailers for rent. Only select a child ticket if your kid will ride a bike.
